Scalar Volume
Values sampled on a voxel grid, stored in a narrow band around the surface. Used for smoothing, filleting, morphology and measured or scanned data.
About
A scalar volume has a resolution, set by its voxel size when you create it. The Bandwidth input on the creation components sets how many voxels of values wrap the surface; raise it before large offsets or heavy smoothing. See Core concepts.
