Tighten Bounds
Recalculates an implicit's bounding box from its actual surface, replacing the loose box composed from the operations that built it: the new box may come out smaller or larger. Refines against the surface (interval subdivision). The geometry is unchanged; only the bounds.
Inputs
| Name | Nick | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Implicit | I | Implicit | The input implicit. |
Outputs
| Name | Nick | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Implicit | I | Implicit | The output implicit. |
| Bounds | B | Box | The fitted box: the implicit's real extent. Wire it into a Base Bounding Box input to reuse the true unit cell. |

| Warning | Tighten Bounds applies to 3D implicits: a 2D implicit is infinite in Z, so there is no finite extent to fit. Passing it through unchanged. |
| Warning | This implicit has no valid bounds to fit: passing it through unchanged. |
