Advect
Advects a level-set volume (an SDF surface) through a vector velocity field.

Example definition
A thin sheet carried by a gradient flow
A mesh plane becomes an implicit sheet with Implicit From Mesh and Offset, and is rasterised to a volume. Ten points with random values make a field by interpolation; the field's gradient, as a vector volume smoothed over five passes, is the flow that carries the sheet. Preview Vector Volume shows the arrows on a section you can slide through the box.
Try
- Drag Time to carry the sheet further along the flow.
- Slide Section to see the arrows anywhere in the box; the right-click menu picks the section plane.
- Change the Seed on Random for a different flow, or wire your own field.
