Preview Field 2D
Preview a rectangular section of a field as a smooth colour-mapped slice with distance contours drawn on top. Leave the Rectangle empty to auto-section a bounded input (an Implicit) along the plane chosen in the right-click menu; a plain unbounded Field always needs a Rectangle.

| Ramp Scale | k | Number | 1 | Ramp spread: a relative multiplier, not an absolute distance. The ramp auto-fits the section's distance range, so the same value looks the same at any geometry size. 1 uses most of the gradient; higher hugs the surface, lower spreads the ramp wider. The surface (value 0) is always the seam. |
| Section | T | Number | 0.5 | Auto-section position (0–1) along the input's bounding box, on the axis perpendicular to the chosen plane. Used only when no Rectangle is supplied. |
| Contour Interval | Ci | Number | 1 | Spacing between contour isolines, in field-value (world) units. A line is drawn wherever the field crosses a nonzero multiple of this interval; the surface (value 0) itself is not drawn. Interior lines (value < 0) draw blue; exterior lines (value > 0) draw grey. Set 0 for no contour lines. |
