Blend
Pairwise blend between two implicit geometries: linear morph with a sine-modulated bulge term. Both the blend factor T and the bulge can vary in space (Field-valued).
Inputs
| Name | Nick | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| I1 | I1 | Implicit | The first implicit. | |
| I2 | I2 | Implicit | The second implicit. | |
| Blend Factor | T | Field | Linear-interpolation factor. 0 = fully I1, 1 = fully I2, 0.5 = halfway. Clamped to [0, 1] internally. Can be Field-valued (spatially-varying). | |
| Bulge | Bg | Field | Outward bulge amount at the midpoint (T = 0.5). Positive = belly, negative = waist, 0 = plain linear morph. Can be Field-valued. |
Outputs
| Name | Nick | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Implicit | I | Implicit | The output implicit. |
Example definition
A box that turns into a sphere as it rises
The blend factor is the Z coordinate remapped to 0–1, so the shape is a rounded box at the bottom and a sphere at the top, with a bulge between.
Try
- Change Bulge: positive swells the transition, negative pinches it.
- Wire a plain number into Blend Factor for a uniform blend.
